Should I ask my modeling students for permission to use their likeness on my business cards?

I'm a makeup artist/instructor. And I do the makeup on models for photo shoots, etc. The photographer has used some of the pictures taken for his business cards and he doesn't mind if I do the same. But should I ask the models themselves if they mind? Or should I assume I also have rights/permission to use the images on my cards too?
